League Pollsters Picked Little Rock
(St. Louis, MO) – During our final installment of our Ohio Valley Conference preview, we answer the question ‘who will win the OVC?’. Or at least who the pollsters believe will claim the crown. My OVC Power Rankings will be revealed soon at BustingBrackets.com.
We have counted down to these final two teams. Southeast Missouri is the reigning regular season champion and Little Rock is the polling favorite. During what should be the most competitive season in years, truly anything could happen.
This will be Little Rock’s final season in the OVC and sadly the first without former commissioner Beth DeBauche. She resigned on October 23.
No. 2 – Southeast Missouri – 21-12 (15-5)
OVC’s ‘Players to Watch’ – B.J. Ward (8.4 ppg) & Braxton Stacker (8.9 ppg).
We interviewed sixth year coach Brad Korn (74-85) and forward Brendan Terry (11.2 ppg & 4.5 rebounds per game.
No. 1 – Little Rock – 19-14 (12-8)
OVC’s ‘Players to Watch’ – Kachi Nzeh (2.6 ppg) & Chase Dawson.
We interviewed eighth year coach Darrell Walker (101-113) and forward Johnathan Lawson (15.4 ppg & 5.2 rebounds per game.
