Hall of Famer Joins the Podcast
(St. Louis, MO) – Southern Illinois Saluki legend Mike Reis joined ‘Voices of the Valley’. We wanted to re-live and remember great moments in SIU basketball and Missouri Valley Conference history. SIU’s Mike Reis has been inducted into too many halls-of-fame to mention.
His status among Saluki sports fans is immeasurable. He is a living legend in ‘Little Egypt’.
We talked about Saluki basketball, Arch Madness, the NCAA Tournament and many of the friends that he has made over the decades. Following Mike Reis into the role of ‘Voice of the Salukis’ is our friend Luke Martin and Reis says Martin is doing an excellent job as the caretaker of SIU sports.

I haven't heard, nor do I know, how does this apply to the typical 'foreign' basketball player that is most often over 19?
Obviously, this is a sentimental and not a ‘spreadsheet’ notion, but would hate to see @MVCsports change the #ArchMadness format from the traditional ‘family reunion’ feel by cutting teams from the experience. #FatherHarry
