Sawyer & Oren Joined the Fray
(Peoria, IL) – After taking in the exciting overtime game between Bradley and Belmont, we invited some friends to a Monday night late night Missouri Valley Conference conversation. Vance Sawyer from the March to the Arch Podcast and Paul Oren from The Victory Bell joined us to talk about the night’s games and the state of the MVC.
Bradley, Northern Iowa, Southern Illinois, Evansville and Valparaiso were the Monday night winners. Since both first place Belmont and second place Murray State lost, the top two spots maintained the same two-game margin. However, Bradley’s win moved the Braves into a tie with the second place Racers.
Had Illinois State won at last place Evansville, they would be tied for second place too. Instead the Redbirds fell into a three-way tie for fourth place with Illinois Chicago and Northern Iowa.
Valpo lurks one game behind that trio.
