More Honors For Tuttle

(St. Louis, MO) – On the eve of postseason basketball Seth Tuttle has received yet another award. The Northern Iowa senior forward has been named to his second all-American team.

The United States Basketball Writers Association named Tuttle to their second team. He was named to USA Today’s third team.

Tuttle and Gonzaga’s Kyle Wiltjer were the only two players on the USBWA’s all-American teams from ‘mid-major’ programs.

First team all-Americans were Willie Cauley-Stein, Kentucky; Jerian Grant, Notre Dame; Frank Kaminsky, Wisconsin; Jahlil Okafor, Duke and D’Angelo Russell, Ohio State.

Joining Tuttle and Wiltjer on the second team were Malcolm Brogdon, Virginia; Bobby Portis, Arkansas; and Delon Wright, Utah.

Tuttle is the first All-American in Northern Iowa history.

I haven't heard, nor do I know, how does this apply to the typical 'foreign' basketball player that is most often over 19?

Obviously, this is a sentimental and not a ‘spreadsheet’ notion, but would hate to see @MVCsports change the #ArchMadness format from the traditional ‘family reunion’ feel by cutting teams from the experience. #FatherHarry

Congrats to @ISURedbirdGolf. T.J. Barger sets a school record. Pietro Pontiggia records the Redbirds' second-ever top 20 finish at a regional. The team finishes tent in the region which is tied for the program's best regional finish! #FatherHarry
