Two First-Time Winners

Relief Role Suits Tate Hall

(St. Louis, MO) – Loyola’s Tate Hall went from the starting lineup to a relief role and became the Missouri Valley Conference’s ‘Player of the Week‘ and newcomers are racking up awards at Bradley.

Player of the Week

Hall had started every game of his Rambler career, until this weekend. Coach Porter Moser realized he had seven starters and decided to tinker with his rotation. Hall went to the relief role with splendid results. He scored a season-high 24 points during LUC’s Saturday win over Northern Iowa. The 6’6 senior added 13 points in Sunday’s win.

Moser said the lefty took the news of his adjusted role perfectly.

The Ramblers (10-3, 5-1) travel to Valparaiso (3-8, 0-2) on Wednesday.

Newcomer

Terry Nolan Junior has started every one of his Bradley Brave games. The 6’4 George Washington transfer is BU’s second leading scorer and this week’s ‘Newcomer of the Week‘. Nolan Junior sparked the defending Arch Madness champions to a pair of wins while averaging 14.5 points per game.

Teammate Rienk Mast won the award last week.

Bradley (9-4, 3-1) travels to Illinois State (4-8, 1-5) for Wednesday’s ‘War on 74’ rivalry game.

I haven't heard, nor do I know, how does this apply to the typical 'foreign' basketball player that is most often over 19?

Obviously, this is a sentimental and not a ‘spreadsheet’ notion, but would hate to see @MVCsports change the #ArchMadness format from the traditional ‘family reunion’ feel by cutting teams from the experience. #FatherHarry

Congrats to @ISURedbirdGolf. T.J. Barger sets a school record. Pietro Pontiggia records the Redbirds' second-ever top 20 finish at a regional. The team finishes tent in the region which is tied for the program's best regional finish! #FatherHarry
