The MVC/Gray Media Connection

Interests, Passions and Geography Align

(St. Louis, MO) – The MVC/Gray Media connection runs deep. It is clear that the two entities have aligned interests. The Missouri Valley Conference’s announcement of its second season of scheduled of games  on Gray Media television stations is extensive.

We spoke with Tupelo Honey President John Servizzi and Associate Producer Braden Pretzsch to learn more about the MVC/Gray Media Connection. Tupelo Honey is part of Gray Media and the production company for those games.

Servizzi, the founder of Webstream Sports runs the production arm of Gray and Pretzsch is the man in charge of the individual productions. This connection with the Valley is a natural one. Tupelo, Gray, Servizzi, Pretzsch and the Valley have interests, passions and geographic alignment.

Pretzsch has degrees from two different Valley universities and Servizzi is responsible for the launching of the Horizon League’s networking endeavors. Each man has a passion about mid-major basketball and for the Missouri Valley Conference.

Gray Media runs or has programming agreements with 113, over-the-air stations nationally. They will broadcast nearly 30 MVC contests, including seven from Arch Madness. Games can be seen over the air  in all six states within the Missouri Valley Conference footprint. They are available on Gray media-owned and non-Gray syndicated over-the-air stations in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee.

These two energetic and passionate men met with us to discuss their interests and joys of working with the Missouri Valley Conference.

Opening round of #ArchMadness is today. The only quarterfinal we know is @UIC_MBB v @RacersHoops tomorrow at 2:30. We look at their contrasting styles heading into the @MVCsports tournament. #FatherHarry

Don't look now, but @BustingBrackets tells us some of the hottest teams coming into #ArchMadness aren't the teams at the top of the bracket. @ValpoBasketball, @SIU_Basketball & @UNImbb shouldn't be overlooked. #FatherHarry

ICYMI: @BelmontMBB & @BradleyUMBB are two of the best at being committed to development and succeeding at the same time. #ArchMadness

Congrats to @RogerPowellJr, @CoachJonny_B & @NdotSmitty being named to the Ben Jobe Award finalist list. Well deserved!
