Charges Come Against Sean Woods

Unknown(St. Louis, MO) – More details are finally coming out concerning the suspension of Morehead State head coach Sean Woods.

Midmajormadness.com is reporting that two players Malik Maitland and Soufiyane Diakte, issued complaints of misdemeanor battery to police after the Eagles’ game with Evansville.

Woods is due in court on February 9. According to CBS affiliate WYKT, Morehead State officials have not commented on the situation since his suspension on November 22.

We have reached out to Ohio Valley officials, who have said they are respecting Morehead State’s investigation and handling of the situation, and are making no official comments.

The Eagles (2-7) are 0-5 under interim head coach Preston Spradlin after Tuesday’s two point loss at Eastern Washington.
