Shocker Sweep

(St. Louis, MO) – Wichita State is sweeping the pre-season honors at the annual media day. With no surprises the Shockers were tabbed to repeat as league champions and three Wichita State players were named to the pre-season all MVC team.

Probably the biggest surprise was that the vote for top team in the Valley wasn’t unanimous.

VanVleet

Fred VanVleet

Pre-season Player of the Year, Fred VanVleet and fellow guards Ron Baker and Tekelle Cotton were joined on the all-star team by Northern Iowa’s Seth Tuttle and Evansville’s D.J. Balentine.

We’ll have more from media day later today!

I haven't heard, nor do I know, how does this apply to the typical 'foreign' basketball player that is most often over 19?

Obviously, this is a sentimental and not a ‘spreadsheet’ notion, but would hate to see @MVCsports change the #ArchMadness format from the traditional ‘family reunion’ feel by cutting teams from the experience. #FatherHarry

Congrats to @ISURedbirdGolf. T.J. Barger sets a school record. Pietro Pontiggia records the Redbirds' second-ever top 20 finish at a regional. The team finishes tent in the region which is tied for the program's best regional finish! #FatherHarry
