Racer guard Cameron Payne was also named the pre-season player of the year. The sophomore averaged 16.8 points and 5.4 assists last season and is poised for some national recognition.

Perennial conference champion Belmont was named the favorite to win OVC’s East Division and Murray obviously was picked to win the West.

The rest of the OVC pre-season all conference team are Payne’s teammates Jarvis Williams and T.J. Sapp, Jarekious Bradley (SEMO), Crag Bradshaw and Reece Chamberlain (Belmont), Chris Horton (Austin Peay), Myles Taylor (UT Martin), Corey Walden (EKU) and Angelo Warner (Morehead State).

I haven't heard, nor do I know, how does this apply to the typical 'foreign' basketball player that is most often over 19?

Obviously, this is a sentimental and not a ‘spreadsheet’ notion, but would hate to see @MVCsports change the #ArchMadness format from the traditional ‘family reunion’ feel by cutting teams from the experience. #FatherHarry

Congrats to @ISURedbirdGolf. T.J. Barger sets a school record. Pietro Pontiggia records the Redbirds' second-ever top 20 finish at a regional. The team finishes tent in the region which is tied for the program's best regional finish! #FatherHarry
