Breaking! Little Rock’s KK Robinson is OUT

Preseason Player of the Year

(St. Louis, MO) – Ohio Valley Conference preseason ‘Player of the Year’ K.K. Robinson is out indefinitely. As first reported by midmajormainess.com’s Isaac Bourne, Little Rock’s top returning scorer injured his knee late last week and could be done for the season.

This is gigantic league-wide news. Little Rock is the run away favorite to win the OVC regular season title and Robinson is the league’s leading returning scorer, distributor and second leading rebounder.

Kevin McPherson (ARHoopScoop) reported the injury. He and Jack Allen (KATV) confirmed the injury happened at practice last week. Allen and Bourne each confirmed the news with head coach Darrell Walker.

The landscape of the OVC is significantly changed with this news. Little Rock opens the season Monday, November 4, by hosting Arkansas Baptist.

I haven't heard, nor do I know, how does this apply to the typical 'foreign' basketball player that is most often over 19?

Obviously, this is a sentimental and not a ‘spreadsheet’ notion, but would hate to see @MVCsports change the #ArchMadness format from the traditional ‘family reunion’ feel by cutting teams from the experience. #FatherHarry

Congrats to @ISURedbirdGolf. T.J. Barger sets a school record. Pietro Pontiggia records the Redbirds' second-ever top 20 finish at a regional. The team finishes tent in the region which is tied for the program's best regional finish! #FatherHarry
