CBS Brings Us Valley Hoops

(St. Louis, MO) – Fans of the Valley basketball conferences have a good friend in CBS Sports Network. Both the Missouri Valley and Ohio Valley Conferences are receiving increased exposure through this giant in the basketball broadcasting industry.

MVC teams will be featured on CBS Sports Network 10 times and OVC teams will land on the single-eye network seven. One of the truly exciting features of these new agreements is that CBS Sports Network will also broadcast the semi-final rounds of Arch Madness (March 5, 2016) prior to Sunday’s nationally televised game on CBS Sports.

Senior Vice President Dan Weinberg of CBS Sports Network told me the marriage between his network and the MVC made sense for both parties.

CBS Sports Network airs more than 400 live sporting events annually and is increasingly becoming the voice of college basketball. Weinberg says CBS Sports Network is a part of a synergistic approach their company is taking. Fans will notice every broadcast, regardless of the platform will look and feel the same.

ovc3OVC fans will see some great rivalry games on CBS Sports Network. January 2nd Morehead State visits Murray State and both of those teams will be on the network two more times.
