Wichita State Hungry For A Title

St. Louis, MO – Wichita State’s basketball team is truly hungry.  They are hungry for an “Arch Madness Title.” They have one more game to win and break the strangle hold Creighton has on that championship banner.

They’ll face off Sunday in St. Louis for all the MVC marbles and an automatic bid to the NCAA post season tournament. Both teams were impressive in their semi-final wins and are poised to complete their ‘best two-out-of-three’ play off for MVC bragging rights.

Jeff Stirnaman asked WSU freshman Fred Van Vleet if that was the way it was meant to be.

Head Coach Gregg Marshall has had great regular season success, but an MVC tournament crown has avoided him so far.  I asked him about he play of the relentless Carl Hall and his team’s desire to win in St. Louis.

I believe both Creighton and Wichita State should and will dance in the biggest dance in March, but the winner of Sunday’s game can breathe a little easier for the next seven days.

Do Good

I haven't heard, nor do I know, how does this apply to the typical 'foreign' basketball player that is most often over 19?

Obviously, this is a sentimental and not a ‘spreadsheet’ notion, but would hate to see @MVCsports change the #ArchMadness format from the traditional ‘family reunion’ feel by cutting teams from the experience. #FatherHarry

Congrats to @ISURedbirdGolf. T.J. Barger sets a school record. Pietro Pontiggia records the Redbirds' second-ever top 20 finish at a regional. The team finishes tent in the region which is tied for the program's best regional finish! #FatherHarry
