Valpo & Illinois State in Next Year’s Paradise Jam

(Valparaiso, IN) – The Valparaiso University men’s basketball team will be one of eight programs competing in the 2019 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam, as announced Thursday by tournament directors.

Valpo will be joined by Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Fordham, Grand Canyon, Illinois State, Nevada and Western Kentucky in the 20th-annual Paradise Jam, held at the University of the Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center on St. Thomas, Nov. 22-25, 2019.

This marks Valpo’s second appearance at the Paradise Jam, as the program previously traveled to the Virgin Islands for the 2008 edition of the event.

Game times and matchups for the 2019 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam will be announced next spring.

I haven't heard, nor do I know, how does this apply to the typical 'foreign' basketball player that is most often over 19?
