Valley Rescheduling Announcement!

Editor: The following is part of a press release from mvc-sports.com.

(St. Louis, MO) – The Missouri Valley Conference has announced the rescheduling of three previously postponed men’s basketball series, which includes makeup dates for Bradley-Loyola; Bradley-Valparaiso; and Illinois State-Valparaiso.

The incorporation of those three series have resulted in additional shifts in the league’s men’s basketball composite schedule and one women’s basketball adjustment.  In a cooperative effort with institutions and television network partners, the shifts were implemented to minimize the number of games any one institution played within a range of dates, and it also helped minimized the number of road games for any one institution within a range of dates.

One women’s series (Evansville at Illinois State) was impacted to accommodate a men’s shift.  Rescheduling of two postponed women’s basketball series — Missouri State @ Valparaiso and Loyola @ Missouri State — will occur at a later time.

New game dates/times are listed below for the impacted institutions, and an updated men’s basketball composite is attached with changes highlighted in yellow.    Click Here

The rescheduling also generated changes to the league’s linear and digital production schedules.

Originally, the Conference had selected the Illinois State-Bradley matchup from Peoria, Illinois, on January 20, for MVC TV Network distribution, but will now produce the Loyola at Bradley contest on January 25.  The game will be shown on FOX Midwest-Indiana-Kansas City and NBC Sports Chicago Plus with digital distribution the FOX Sports GO app and FOXSportsGo.com.  The contest will also be seen on either ESPN+ or ESPN3 outside the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.

On the digital side, the Conference has added two men’s basketball games – Loyola at Bradley on January 25 and Bradley at Valparaiso on January 28 – to replace postponed productions from earlier this season.  Both contests will air nationally on either ESPN+ or ESPN3 via the ESPN App.
