Shockers In – Panthers Get Texas – Governors Take On Kansas

(St. Louis, MO) – Wichita State is going dancing! Northern Iowa has a tough road going forward and Cinderella (Austin Peay) needs more miracles to move on.

The Shockers (24-8) were the most talked about ‘bubble team’ in the country will take on Vanderbilt (19-13) and former Illinois State coach Kevin Stallings in a ‘first four’ game in Dayton. If the Shockers win they head to Providence to play six seeded Arizona (25-8).

Northern Iowa (22-12) is saddled with an 11 seed and a first round match up with # 6 Texas (20-12). The Longhorns lost two of their last three games. Like the Panthers, Texas was fourth in the Big 12.

Austin Peay (18-17)isn’t in a first four game, but they have a tall order taking on Kansas. The Jayhawks (30-4) are the number one overall seed, which theoretically makes the Governors the 68th seed. Perfect. Austin Peay, who has won six straight, has Kansas right where they want them!

I haven't heard, nor do I know, how does this apply to the typical 'foreign' basketball player that is most often over 19?

Obviously, this is a sentimental and not a ‘spreadsheet’ notion, but would hate to see @MVCsports change the #ArchMadness format from the traditional ‘family reunion’ feel by cutting teams from the experience. #FatherHarry

Congrats to @ISURedbirdGolf. T.J. Barger sets a school record. Pietro Pontiggia records the Redbirds' second-ever top 20 finish at a regional. The team finishes tent in the region which is tied for the program's best regional finish! #FatherHarry
