Nation’s Best Bracketologist Says Drake Looks Safe

Bracketeer.org’s Rocco Miller

(St. Louis, MO) – While we respect all the nationally known bracketologists, the nation’s best bracketologist is Rocco Miller. The editor of the bracketeer.org site tells us that the Missouri Valley’s conference champion should be a safe bet to participate in March Madness.

During a wide sweeping, informative interview, Miller gives us insights into to thought process of the NCAA Selection Committee, the importance of the ‘national evaluation tool’ and what ‘wins above bubble’ means.

Bracketmatrix.com is the major site that ranks bracketologists and Miller outshines every ‘network’ expert. Over the past five years, he is ranked ninth nationally, well ahead of Fox’s Mike DeCourcy (71), ESPN’s Joe Lunardi (118), Sports Illustrated’s Kevin Sweeney (138), Sporting News’ Bill Bender (140) and CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm (164).

Watchers of this site know that we have great respect for and have had great interactions with most of those men. Each knows more about college basketball than this writer, will ever know.

We asked Miller about tournament expansion, the chances of former MVC and Ohio Valley coaches’ teams and much more. He says Oklahoma and West Virginia have work to do.

Miller says Drake’s road record, wins over Vanderbilt and Kansas State and yes, ‘wins above bubble’ should send them dancing. He adds the caveat that they can’t lose this coming weekend and should at least reach the Arch Madness semifinal to truly feel confident to purchase their dancing shoes.

Our Conversation with the Nation’s Best Bracketologist

Miller is strongly connected to the Field of 64 site and co-hosts bi-weekly bracket analysis shows. He will be part of a ‘bracket reveal’ show on Sunday, March 9th. Valley fans will be able to watch that program after the Arch Madness final.

The nation’s best bracketologist is a fan of the mid-major programs. Miller has helped connect some of those programs for scheduling purposes, to enhance their postseason credentials.

I haven't heard, nor do I know, how does this apply to the typical 'foreign' basketball player that is most often over 19?

Obviously, this is a sentimental and not a ‘spreadsheet’ notion, but would hate to see @MVCsports change the #ArchMadness format from the traditional ‘family reunion’ feel by cutting teams from the experience. #FatherHarry

Congrats to @ISURedbirdGolf. T.J. Barger sets a school record. Pietro Pontiggia records the Redbirds' second-ever top 20 finish at a regional. The team finishes tent in the region which is tied for the program's best regional finish! #FatherHarry
