MVC on CBS

Eleventh Straight Season

(St. Louis, MO) – Make it eleven straight seasons seeing the MVC on CBS. The ‘One-Eye Network’ is partnering with the Missouri Valley Conference to broadcast eight regular season games and the Arch Madness semi-finals and final.

While all eight regular season contests and the State Farm MVC Tournament semi-finals will be aired on CBS Sports Network, the Arch Madness title game (March 8 at 11:00 a.m.) will be on CBS Network.

There will be four ‘wild card’ games involving network decisions on what games to air. There are four predetermined, stand alone regular season games. Wednesday, January 21 will be the first of those multi-game decisions. Murray State will appear in at least three CBS Sports Network games. Twice the Racers will face Northern Iowa and Ryan Miller’s team will also tangle with long time rival Belmont.

The Belmont contest on January 31 will be the second game of an MVC on CBS double-header. While Bradley faces Drake at 5:00 pm, the Bruins and Racers tip at 7.

This is the twenty-first straight year for the Arch Madness final to be aired on CBS and this tournament will be a celebration of fifty years of MVC post season tournaments.

I haven't heard, nor do I know, how does this apply to the typical 'foreign' basketball player that is most often over 19?

Obviously, this is a sentimental and not a ‘spreadsheet’ notion, but would hate to see @MVCsports change the #ArchMadness format from the traditional ‘family reunion’ feel by cutting teams from the experience. #FatherHarry

Congrats to @ISURedbirdGolf. T.J. Barger sets a school record. Pietro Pontiggia records the Redbirds' second-ever top 20 finish at a regional. The team finishes tent in the region which is tied for the program's best regional finish! #FatherHarry
