Loyola Suffers Second Major Injury

(St. Louis, MO) – For the second time this season the Loyola (Chicago) Ramblers have lost a key part of their team to a knee injury.

Junior wing Donte Ingram suffered an MCL injury during Wednesday’s win over Norfolk State. Ingram is the team’s leading rebounder at 5.6 per game and is averaging 9.6 points per game.

According to loyolaramblers.com, the Chicago native will be out four to six weeks. He joins freshman Matt Chastain on the injury list. Chastain sustained a season ending ACL injury in November. Prior to the 6’6 freshman’s injury, he was averaging 3.7 points per game and three rebounds.

The Ramblers host San Diego State Saturday as part of the Mountain West/Missouri Valley Challenge.

I haven't heard, nor do I know, how does this apply to the typical 'foreign' basketball player that is most often over 19?

Obviously, this is a sentimental and not a ‘spreadsheet’ notion, but would hate to see @MVCsports change the #ArchMadness format from the traditional ‘family reunion’ feel by cutting teams from the experience. #FatherHarry

Congrats to @ISURedbirdGolf. T.J. Barger sets a school record. Pietro Pontiggia records the Redbirds' second-ever top 20 finish at a regional. The team finishes tent in the region which is tied for the program's best regional finish! #FatherHarry
