Drake’s Norton – Done For the Season

Editor: The following is a press release from godrakebulldogs.com.

(Des Moines, IA) – Drake University senior Nick Norton’s knee injury suffered in Wednesday night’s game at Evansville will force the guard to miss the remainder of the 2018-19 season, head men’s basketball coach Darian DeVries announced Friday.

Norton suffered an injury to his left knee late in the first half of the Drake men’s basketball team’s double-overtime loss at Evansville while driving to the basket.

Norton’s injury was evaluated Thursday and following an MRI, team physicians determined Norton tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Surgery to repair the ligament will be performed at a date to be determined.

I haven't heard, nor do I know, how does this apply to the typical 'foreign' basketball player that is most often over 19?

Obviously, this is a sentimental and not a ‘spreadsheet’ notion, but would hate to see @MVCsports change the #ArchMadness format from the traditional ‘family reunion’ feel by cutting teams from the experience. #FatherHarry

Congrats to @ISURedbirdGolf. T.J. Barger sets a school record. Pietro Pontiggia records the Redbirds' second-ever top 20 finish at a regional. The team finishes tent in the region which is tied for the program's best regional finish! #FatherHarry
