Bidwell and Redman – Arch Madness Preview – Game Three

Evansville and Murray State Meet Thursday Night

(St. Louis, MO) – Jevin Redman and Jeff Bidwell are the play-by-play announcers for two of the teams playing in the opening round of Arch Madness. Evansville (11-20, 8-12) and Murray State (15-16, 9-11) tip it up at 6 pm and Bidwell and Redman will be calling all the action as the radio voices of their respective teams.

Redman is enjoying his seventh season as ‘the voice of the Purple Aces’ and Bidwell is finishing his second season behind the microphone on Racers’ basketball. Jeff hosts RacerBasketball.com which is an outstanding website and podcast about everything related to Murray State hoops.

The two teams split their regular season games, with each team winning by a narrow margin on its home floor.

Bidwell and Redman know their teams, coaches, fan bases and the opposing teams very well. Redman tells us the key to the game is UE’s ability to limit Murray State point guard JaCobi Wood. Bidwell tells us that Murray State has to play ‘down hill’ on the offensive end.

I haven't heard, nor do I know, how does this apply to the typical 'foreign' basketball player that is most often over 19?

Obviously, this is a sentimental and not a ‘spreadsheet’ notion, but would hate to see @MVCsports change the #ArchMadness format from the traditional ‘family reunion’ feel by cutting teams from the experience. #FatherHarry

Congrats to @ISURedbirdGolf. T.J. Barger sets a school record. Pietro Pontiggia records the Redbirds' second-ever top 20 finish at a regional. The team finishes tent in the region which is tied for the program's best regional finish! #FatherHarry
