Arch Madness Staying Put

Unknown-7(St. Louis, MO) – Settle down Arch Madness fans.  The Missouri Valley Men’s Basketball Tournament isn’t going anywhere. After bids from Kansas City, Chicago and St. Louis the MVC decided to ‘stay home’ and continue the second longest run of conference tournaments in one spot.  The Gateway City will host the tournament until at least 2018 and there is a league option to host the gala two years beyond that.

If the MVC would be in St. Louis in 2020, the tournament would be celebrating its 30th straight year in St. Louis.

We’ll have more on this tomorrow. But be of good cheer, Arch Madness is here!

I haven't heard, nor do I know, how does this apply to the typical 'foreign' basketball player that is most often over 19?

Obviously, this is a sentimental and not a ‘spreadsheet’ notion, but would hate to see @MVCsports change the #ArchMadness format from the traditional ‘family reunion’ feel by cutting teams from the experience. #FatherHarry

Congrats to @ISURedbirdGolf. T.J. Barger sets a school record. Pietro Pontiggia records the Redbirds' second-ever top 20 finish at a regional. The team finishes tent in the region which is tied for the program's best regional finish! #FatherHarry
