Ameritime Championship Tonight

Unknown-1(St. Louis, MO) – There is nothing like championship day at a big time tournament like the Ameritime Classic.  Tonight number one seed and third ranked team in the area Hazelwood Central takes on the second seeded Lafayette Lancers.

Both teams are battle tested. Central won the Meramec Holiday Festival and Lafayette has won the Webster Tournament and won the consolation bracket at Meramec!

The third place game features two Parkway teams (West and Central) who met earlier this season with Central winning.

Consolation games begin at 4 pm & 5:30 and there are good teams in those games too. All of the match ups will be worth the visit to the beautiful Missouri Baptist University campus.

That third place game tips at 7:00 pm and the championship at 8:30. All the games can be watched free of charge and live on the Spartan Digitial Network. Here’s a shortcut.  click here.  It will take you to the official site.

I’ve had the privilege of working a bunch of those games this week and the MO Bap staff has been just great. Tonight you’ll hear my friends John Edwards (my UMSL partner), Paul Ellis, Greg Uptain and Jim Powers.

If you want to watch it later, Charter TV will be on hand and Demetrious Johnson and I have the call on that platform.  Yes a lot of broadcasters and thus a lot of egos on campus tonight!

I haven't heard, nor do I know, how does this apply to the typical 'foreign' basketball player that is most often over 19?

Obviously, this is a sentimental and not a ‘spreadsheet’ notion, but would hate to see @MVCsports change the #ArchMadness format from the traditional ‘family reunion’ feel by cutting teams from the experience. #FatherHarry

Congrats to @ISURedbirdGolf. T.J. Barger sets a school record. Pietro Pontiggia records the Redbirds' second-ever top 20 finish at a regional. The team finishes tent in the region which is tied for the program's best regional finish! #FatherHarry
